মোশতাক আহমেদ ৩০ ডিসেম্বর ১৯৭৫ সালে ফরিদপুর জেলায় জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। তিনি ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ফার্মেসী ডিপার্টমেন্ট হতে এম ফার্ম ডিগ্রী অর্জন করেছেন। পরবর্তীতে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের আইবিএ হতে এমবিএ এবং ইংল্যান্ডের লেস্টার ইউনিভার্সিটি থেকে ক্রিমিনোলোজিতে মাস্টার্স ডিগ্রী লাভ করেন। কর্ম জীবনে তিনি একজন চাকুরীজীবি। তাঁর লেখালেখির শুরু ছাত্রজীবন থেকে। বৈজ্ঞানিক কল্পকাহিনীতে তিনি অধিক আগ্রহী হলেও গোয়েন্দা এবং ভৌতিক ক্ষেত্রেও যথেষ্ট পারদর্শীতার পরিচয় দিয়েছেন। তার উল্লেখযোগ্য সাহিত্যকর্মের মধ্যে রয়েছে- রোবটিজম, ক্লিটি ভাইরাস, নিহির ভালভাসা,অতৃপ্ত আত্না, নীল মৃত্যু, লাল শৈবাল, জকি, মীম, প্রেতাত্মা, রোবো, পাইথিন, শিশিলিন ইত্যাদি।
