‘জমিদার দর্পন’ নাটকের কাহিনী সরল ও আড়ম্বহীন। নারীলোভী এব জমিদার এবং সুন্দরী পত্নীর অসহায় কৃষক স্বামীর প্রসঙ্গ এ নাটকের কাহিনীর মূল অংশ। জমিদার শ্রেণীর চরিত্র, তোষামোদের ছলচাতুারি, চাষা আবু মোল্লা এবং তার পত্নী নুরন্নেহারের নির্যাতন প্রভৃতি নিয়ে ‘ জমিদার দর্পন’ অতি বাস্তব ধর্মী নাট্যকর্ম।এ নাটকেও নটনটী আছে, গান আছে। বিচারালয়ে ইংরেজ ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট ,ডাক্তার, দেশি দারোগা, পেশকার ইত্যাদি সমন্বয়ে যে নৈরাজ্য চিত্র অঙ্কিত হয়েছে ,তা বাস্তবতার দিক থেকে অতুলনীয়।

Mir Mosharraf Hossain is Bengali Writer, playwright and essayist in 19th century. He is famous for his novels and historical books. He was born in 13 November 1987 in Kustia District, Banglasesh and died 19 December 1912. He is principally known for his famous novel Bishad Sindhu. He is considered as the first novelist to emerge from the Muslim society of Bengal.
