বর্ণপরিচয় প্রাথমিক স্তরের শিশুশিক্ষা গ্রন্থ। শিশুদের বাংলা ভাষা শিক্ষা দেওয়ার উদ্দেশ্যে বিজ্ঞানসম্মত উপায়ে রচিত গ্রন্থসমূহের মধ্যে এটিই প্রথম। ১৮৫৫ সালে ঈশ্বরচন্দ্র বিদ্যাসাগর এটি রচনা করেন। সেই সময় থেকে অদ্যাবধি শিশুপাঠ্য গ্রন্থ হিসেবে এটি উভয় বাংলায় সমান গুরুত্বের সঙ্গে ব্যবহূত হয়ে আসছে।
গ্রন্থটির প্রথম ভাগে স্বরবর্ণ ও ব্যঞ্জণবর্ণ, তদ্যোগে বিভিন্ন শব্দ ও বাক্যগঠন এবং অনুচ্ছেদ আকারে রচিত মোট একুশটি পাঠ আছে। দ্বিতীয় ভাগে সংযুক্ত বর্ণের ব্যবহার দ্বারা শব্দ ও বাক্য গঠন, ফলাযোগে নানা শব্দসৃষ্টি, অঙ্কে ও কথায় সংখ্যা গণনা এবং উপদেশধর্মী ছোট ছোট রচনা মিলে মোট দশটি পাঠ আছে। (Source: Bangla Pedia).
