Harishankar Jaladas was born on 12th October 1955 in Chittagong . His
works have been warmly appreciated and he has received the following
literary awards. For Jalaputra, he got Alaol Literary award. For
Dahankal, he got Protom Alo award, for Ramgolam he got City Anando Alo
award. He also got the Bangla Academy Literary award in 2012. The life
of the marginalized forms the core of his works. He studied Bengali
literature in the University of Chittagong and took his PhD from the
same university. Currently, he is the principal of government City
College in Chittagong. Popular Books of Harishankar Jaladas are

and Luccha and five volumes of literary criticism: Bangla Upannas O
