বইটি সমরেশ মজুমদারের- ‘মেয়েরা যেমন হয়’। মেয়েরা কেমন হয় তা তো এক চিরায়িত রহস্য। তবে এই বইয়ে লেখক মেয়েদের সম্পর্কে সরাসরি কোনো মন্তব্য করেননি। তিনি তার ব্যাক্তি জীবনের নানা অভিজ্ঞতা পাঠকদের সামনের তুলে ধরেছেন। এই অভিজ্ঞতা ভরা কাহিনীগুলো আপনার নিজস্ব অনুভুতিকে এক ভিন্ন মাত্রা দেবে। অবশ্য মেয়েরা কেমন হয় এই জবানীতে লেখক নিজেই বলেছেন -"মেয়েরা কেমন হয়,এটা স্বয়ং ইশ্বর নিজেও জানেন না" অনেক পাঠকই তার প্রিয় লেখকের জীবনী পরতে আগ্রহ বোধ করেন।জানতে চান লেখকের না জানা অনেক কথা।তাদের জন্য এই বইটি সুপাঠ্য। লেখক সমরেশ মজুমদার, তার দেখা মেয়েদের জীবন যাপন, কিছু আবেগ, খুচরো কিছু স্মৃতি এই রচনায় তুলে ধরেছেন। (রকমারি রিভিউ)

Samaresh Majumdar is popular Indian Bengali writer. He is well know as creator of "Arjun" Character. Samaresh Majumdar was born on 10th March 1942. His childhood years were spent in the tea gardens of Duars. He obtained his elementary education in Jalpaiguri District School. He received his graduation degree in Bengali from Scottish Church College, Kolkata and his Masters degree from Calcutta University respectively. He was professionally involved with the principal publishing corporation called Ananda Bazar Prakashana. Dour was his first novel, which was published in Desh in 1976.
