Kali O Kalam is a monthly Bengali Literary Magazine which is published from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Now Kali O Kalam is one of leading Bangla Literary Mangazine and most popular in Dhaka & Kalka. The magazine published various articles about literature, art
and culture. The Magazine was first published in 2003 and Published from Kali O Kalam Office, New Airport Raod, Khilkhet, Dhaka-1219. The
President of the editorial board of Kali O Kalam is Professor Emiratus Anisuzzaman. The Editor of Kali O Kalam (Magazine) is Abul Hasnat and
publisher is Abul Khair.
Kali O Kalam Magazine and HSBC Bank jointly take
initiative a Bengali Literary Award named “Young Poet and Writer Award” in 2008 to promote young and talented writers, poets, essayists, and
illustrators in five different categories. The prize giving of the seventh edition of ‘Kali O Kalam Young Poets and Literature Awards’ was held on 30 May 2015, Saturday evening at the Bengal Shilpalaya, Dhaka. Each of the winners received a crest, a certificate and prize money worth BDT.1 Lac. Three young writers received awards in three categories- poetry, essay and research, and short story and literature for the year 2014. This year’s awards were given to Sakira Parveen, M Abdul Alim and Fatima Rumi. Recently “Kali O Kalam” monthly bangla magazine started publication from Kolkata. The official launching ceremony was held at Kalamandir, Kolkata on 26 September 2015 which was 12th year of publication in Bangladesh, will regularly be published from Kolkata now. It is the first bangla magazine to be published from Dhaka and Kolkata simultaneously. Poet Shankha Ghosh and Nirendranath Chakrabarty, editor of the Indian edition of “Kali O Kalam” launched the fifth edition of magazine through lighting candles.
